TPS61166: Current when EN=GND

Part Number: TPS61166

LED Driver team,

I see the spec in the datasheet for Isd (Shutdown current) at 1 uA.  I believe this is the current into Vin and Vbat when EN = 0.  Can you tell me how much current will be going into the SW pin when EN=0?

In this customer's application, Vbat and Vin = 5V, coming from a buck regulator.  The load needs to be as low as possible when EN=0.

Thanks,

Darren

  • Hi Darren,

This part is using a current source so that there is a isolation FET between SW and OUT. When EN=0, this FET is turned off so I would not expect the current to pass through. This is different from those current sink devices.
