TPS55288: TPS55288 Output current limit error (WEBENCH)

Part Number: TPS55288

Hi,

I have a project that needs a wide input voltage range (8V-36V) and as much current as possible. (Vout=3.3@7.5A) Since the power is not sufficient I would like to use 2x TPS55288 with 7.5A each. What would lead to a maximum output power of 49.5W@15A.

Because the current of the 3.3V rail is normally about 10A-12A I would like to activate current limit by default to minimize temperatures and wear of the fets. If the system then notices at startup that components have changed it should start without current limit then measure the consumption and save a profile.

The problem I have is that WEBENCH gives an error when the current limit is activated and the maximum current is >7A. So I wonder what is causing the current limit error (shown below) and what can be done against it.
