Hi,

I recently submitted a product for EMC testing using the LMR50410. The design of the regulator was copied almost identically from the EVM module. The product failed radiated emissions with spurious emissions in the 100Mhz to 200MHz region.

The board is pretty simple, consisting of a bridge rectifier, smoothing caps and LMR50410 to produce 5V. This is used to power a PIC18F running at 16MHz. The PIC design has been used in a previous generation of this product and hasn't changed here - the only difference is the new regulator, designed in due to stock shortages of the previous part.

Any thoughts or advice appreciated. I would be interested to see the radiated and conducted emissions test results from the reference design.

Thank you Elena. This document has some good content. In my situation I am in the unusual position of passing the conducted emissions, but failing the radiated emissions, so I don't know yet if it will help, but it is certainly a good place to start.

Hi, Greg,

Our internal test about EMI is most on CE ,for RE test we didn't cover because it much more relate to the system not only one power IC.
