tps79933 output current

Hi to all,

The current output of the tps79933 is 200mA, but I need 300mA. From datasheet (Pag 3) says that the output current limit is 400mA. I want to know if I can use this regulator and in this case what are the consequences from pushing the output current to the limit.

I forgot to mention that this current demand is for a period of 30ms

The specifications including output voltage regulation have only been tested up to 200mA. Therefore, the output voltage will likely fall out of regulation during the 30ms. I suggest changing to a larger regulator like the TPS79501. If you cannot do that, then increasing the output capacitance to the size predicted by i = C *dv/dt where dt=30ms, dv is the amount of droop you can accept and i = 100mA might work for you.
