BQ25895: The problem of not releasing the charging mode

Part Number: BQ25895

Hi, TI support team

The following symptoms have been received from the customer.

- Although the VBUS pin input has been removed, the charging mode of the BQ25895 is maintained.

- Review content (short test)

: No. 1 pin (VBUS) 1Mohm (same as normal and defective products)

: No. 19 pin (SW) 16kohm (same as normal and defective products)

: No. 21 pin (BTST) 18kohm (normal product is measured as 8kohm.)

The circuit diagram is shared as follows, and please advise on the review opinion or review direction for the cause of the problem.

Thanks.

Regards,

MJ

  • Hi MJ,

Thank you for reaching out via E2E. Can you help to get waveform captures from the customer so we can better understand the behavior observed. The signals we need to review are VBUS, VBAT, IBAT (charge current), and SW voltage. On the waveforms please have customer mark when VBUS input has been removed if it is not apparent.

Also a question for the customer how long after VBUS input is removed does charging maintain for?

    Best Regards,

    Garrett
