Hi,

I need Iout(max) 8A buck regulator with Vin(min)- 4.5v and Vin(max) 24v  and Vout is (5V) for automotive purpose. I need alternate part for this specification. Can you suggest some parts.

    Is Q-grade product necessary for your application? Based on your requirement, perhaps LM61480-Q1 is suitable part for you.

    I am confused that is TPS51396A used in your automotive application?

    BTW, could you please share application details with us? Like type of end equipment and so on. And could you please show me the reason for using 8A part? What is the loading for the buck?
