BQ25792: VSYS cylcing between 12.5V, 9.5V, and 9.1V when no host or battery present.

I faced an issue of BQ25792 when battery removed. The charger turns on charge current periodically and the output voltage oscillates. I am told that BQ25798 have the issue fixed. May I know how the BQ25798 behavior is at the same condition (VBUS present while battery removed, charge enabled and no TS fault)? According to the datasheet the description is quite identical to BQ25792 so I am a bit confused.

    Hi Si,

    Both parts still toggle between charging and charge terminated as the small BAT pin capacitance chares and discharges and report OVP.  BQ25792 had an issue where the SYS and BAT OVP faults caused the converter to stop, which would cause SYS to crash.  BQ25798 does not have this issue.
