LMG3410R150: Inquiries about how to handle unused pins.

Part Number: LMG3410R150

Hi

My customer is designing LMG3410R150RWHR.
It is said that the pins below are not used.

-unusde pins-

pin 25(LDO5V) , pin 26(VNEG), pin28(BBSW), pin29(LPM), pin30(RDRV), pin32(FAULT)

I want to know how to handle it.

Thanks

  • Hi,

If the customer is not using the following pins, here is how they should be connected -

pin 25(LDO5V) - Connect a 1-µF bypass capacitor from this pin to source

pin 29(LPM) - should be tied to pin 25(LDO5V)

pin 32(FAULT) - it is an output pin, so can be left as is i.e., floating/open

The following pins need to be configured according to the datasheet.

pin30(RDRV) - Connect a resistor from this pin to source to set the turn-on drive strength. The value of the resistor determines the slew rate of the device during turn-on between 30V/ns and 100V/ns. Figure 2 from the datasheet provides the RDRV vs slew rate information.

pin 26(VNEG) - Connect a 1-µF bypass capacitor from this pin to source

pin28(BBSW) - Connect an inductor from this pin to source. A TDK Corporation VLS201610HBX-100M-1 10 µH SMT inductor in a 0806 package is recommended. This inductor is required to complete the internal buck boost converter which generates a negative voltage necessary to turn off the device.

    Thanks,
