TPS543A26: Schematics Review

Hi Team,

I am using TPS543A26RYS in my design. I want my circuit design to be reviewed by TI experts. Please let me know how to proceed with this.

  • Accept my friendship request and email me direct via the e2e system if you want to keep the schematic confidential.   

    If confidentially it not a concern, post a schematic here. 

    If there are any critical power supply specs please share or have labeled on the schematic: ripple, transient.  

    If a electrolytic capacitor is used on the output, share the part number or esr value. 

    If there is any off sheet circuits or components connected to the output, feedback, etc of the device please include those schematics.  

    Once we receive the schematic, we will review and give feedback

    Please find the attached schematics for review.

    I am using TPS543A26RYS for two requirements.

    1. Vin=5V and Vout=0.85V

    2. Vin=5V and Vout=1.35V

  • Hello Shifali,

    After reviewing the schematics, I did not see any major issues.

    Just a few things to point out:

    • Ensure peak current is not greater than saturated current
    • I assumed capacitance loss of 10%
    • I assumed 5% transient is acceptable
    • I assumed 6.3 volt capacitors
    • Ensure that EN pin does not exceed 6V voltage rating
    • TI recommends to add a 10 ohm resistor between feed forward resistor/capacitor and Vout. (See figure 8-1 pg 22 in datasheet for reference)

    Please do not hesitate to send the PCB layout when ready for review.

    Thank you for your valuable feedbacks.

    Whether adding a 10 ohm resistor between feed forward resistor/capacitor is a mandatory requirement? The Webench power designer for TPS543A26RYS doesn't show the addition of this resistor.

    This addition is not a requirement for operation.

    This is needed in regards to testing, for measuring the frequency response.
