When VC_IN pin is unused, can it be left floating(unconnected anywhere)?
If not, what termination is recommended?

Thanks for reaching out.

You need to give VC_IN an input voltage. If you also do not need to use VC_OUT, you can have the circuit below. Besides, you can use TPS2372 if you do not want to use VC.
