BQ24610: How BATFET and ACFET act when detect battery present and CE is disabled

Hi team,

Customer met an issue that they connected AC adapter and system load. Disable CE. And when insert battery, they found that ACFET will turn off which cause system are not supplied and stop working. So I want to confirm with you how ACFET and BATFET act when BQ24610 detect battery and CE is disabled. Thanks a lot!

Hi Moyer,

You can refer to below schematics. I want to check with you that if disable CE, why ACFET will be off when insert or desert battery? But if CE enable, it work well. Could you pls help to check it on EVM? Theoretically, ACFET should keep on when AC adapter is connected.

Yes, I checked using the EVM and I'm not able to replicate the issue when the CE was disabled.

I also don't see any obvious issues with the schematic deisgn.

I reccommend having the customer test it on the BQ24610 EVM, to see if they are able to replicate it using their test setup using an EVM, I think it might be an issue with the board they are using.
