LM5066I: VDD Pin Sink Current

Part Number: LM5066I
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LM5066

Hello,

We are looking to use an isolator in a design that we are looking to be powered by the LM5066I 4.85V VDD pin. We see that the VDD pin was intended only for passives and not for an IC. The draw of the isolator and intended draw of various passives is expected to be ~11mA. I see the worst case spec for the VDD pin LM5066I is -15mA. Do you see any potential issues with this?

Thank you,

Kyle

  • Hi Kyle,

It is not advised to utilize VDD for anything other than the pull-ups associated with LM5066. It's okay if the customer confirms that the current drawn from the VDD pin won't exceed the pin's current limit rating.
