LP2951: LP2951 specific ESR requirements.

We do not have a graph to share with you regarding the ESR requirement. Section 8.2.2.2 mentions that you should use 0.1ohm to 2ohm series resistor if you want to use ceramic capacitors to ensure that the device will be stable. Most other capacitor types can achieve the required ESR requirement without the series resistor.

Thank you for your answer. The equivalent part from OnSemi LP2951CD is stable for  Cout ≥ 1 uF, even with low ESR ceramics. Is this not true for the TI-part (e.g. they are not interchangeable)?

That's correct. Note that LP2951 is getting a Redbull refresh so the new chip will be stable with ceramic caps.
