BQ24259: ship mode power consumption on BQ24259

Part Number: BQ24259

Hi team,

The customers are evaluating our BQ24259.The want to know how much the power is consumed when BQ24259 is set in ship-mode. Is total consumption 16uA shown in the datasheet?

And there is another question about 5uA shown above. What the test condition differences between in 16uA and 5uA? Is the charger shut down completely when Iq is 5uA?

YOURS

NAN

  • Hi Nan,

Yes, the typical current consumed from BAT when BQ24259 is in ship mode is 16uA. Please direct the customer to that particular specification.

The first condition states the typical quiescent current when VBUS input is removed or below the under voltage lockout threshold. This value is mainly just for reference, hence why the specification does not include a max value.

    Best Regards,

    Garrett
