Hi Team,
My customer is surveying suitable Flyback controller solution to meet -

Do you have any suggestion here?
Thanks.

Hi Charles,
Any of our flyback controllers can support this requirement. Can you share any key targets they would like to meet? Like cost, standby power, or overall efficiency? The UCC28781 is a good choice if high efficiency is needed as it does support zero-voltage switching. The UCC28782 can achieve slightly higher efficiency by replacing the passive clamp with an active clamp. Both of these work well with GaN to support a higher switching frequency and power density.
With more details on the customers' needs, I can make a better recommendation.
Hi JCHK,
Customer needs cost-effective, low iTHD and high PF solution.
This is for lighting PSU application, do you have another recommendation?
Regards,
Charles
Hi Charles,
The UCC28781 or UCC28782 could work for this. For the PFC, the UCC28056 can be used on the front end.
I found PMP22538 which is a 60-W reference design that might be a good starting point as well.
WEBENCH recommends an LLC approach which would be the most efficient option, but not usually cost-effective at this power level. It also recommends the UCC28740+UCC24636. Here is the link
I hope this helps to get you started.
