HI 

We are using BQ24045DSQ in one of our project. We want to know how to set the output voltage of the battery charger. We are using the adapter of 5V to charger the lithium ion battery. The max voltage of the battery id 4.2V so how we will ensure that the battery will be go more than 4.2V or how the output of the battery charger will be set.

    Hello

    The output voltage, V-OUT(REG) is fixed and cannot be changed.  The IC will measure voltage at the OUT pin.  For the BQ24045 output voltage is 4.35V.  The BQ24040 is a 4.2V output device.

    Also see BQ25170, the output voltage on this device can be changed.
