TPS25982: Pin FMA

Part Number: TPS25982

Dear Sir/Madam,

I'd like to perform the failure analysis of my schematic, which contains the TI eFUSE of TPS259823ONRGE.

But I can't find the Pin FMA document for this component from the website.

Would you please help to confirm whether the document is available?

Thanks in advance.

  • Hi Danny,

Thanks for reaching out. We don't have Pin FMA document for this device.

  • Hello, Kunal

thanks for the feedback. then I have to check the pin fault one by one.

here's the first question as below:

the LDSTRT pin of this device, which is mentioned as "do not leave floating" in datasheet.

    Detailed description is as follows:

"Load Detect/Handshake Signal. A capacitor from this pin to GND sets the time period after
PG assertion within which the pin has to be pulled low for the device to remain ON. Connect
to GND if the load detect/handshake feature is not used. Refer to Load Detect/Handshake
(LDSTRT) section for more details. Do not leave floating."

In our application, here we use a 0R resistor to pull low to GND at this pin. so what will happen in case the 0R resistor is open?

  • Hi Danny,

Cap is setting some timer. If it is removed then timer will be negligible. It will depend on parasitic cap at the pin. I think device will start and immediately turn off.

  • Thanks Kunal.
