TPS51206: Power On Sequence

Hi All,

I have a question about the power sequence of the TPS51206.
Is it okay to input VLDOIN before VDD?
Should I always follow the power supply sequence below?

Also, if VLDOIN is input when VDD is not input, will VTTREF be output?

Hi Ishiwata,

The power sequence in figure 23 is the recommended power sequence. But it should be okay to use the other power sequence you noted before VLDOIN->VDD. This can also be seen in the following E2E thread linked here. Please note that when doing this other power sequence you may experience some overshoot and possibly a faster rise time. This can also be seen in the following E2E thread linked here.

VDD helps drive the internal EN-VTTREF, this can be seen in section 7.2 on page 10 of the datasheet linked here. So VTTREF should not output if VDD is not input.
