BQ7718: Supply Current at different cell voltages

Part Number: BQ7718

Hi,

Based on the BQ7718 datasheet, the typical supply current is 1uA when cell voltage is 4V.

1) What is the IC supply current if the cell voltage is 3V/2.5V/2V?

2) What is the min IC supply current if cell voltage is 4V?

Please refer to the following table. Please help to provide the values of the IC supply current for different cases.

  IC Supply Current
Cell Voltage Min Typ Max
2V ? ? ?
2.5V ? ? ?
3V ? ? ?
4V ? 1uA 2uA

Thanks,

Kim

  • Hi Kim,

Supply current will be the same regardless of the individual cell voltages.

What matters is that the full stack voltage is within the recommended range and whether or not you are triggering the over voltage protections, since the over voltage protection increases the current draw.
