LM60440: Junction temperature of the Controller

HI,

I tried to design the 12W/5V buck controller with LM60440. My requirement is to maintain the 12W at Ta=80degC. So I use webench tool to find out the Tj of the IC. It shows nearly Tj=106degC. Are these results  considered 4 layer  or 2 layer board?

    Hello,

    The simulation export should be based off the standard LM60440EVM which is a 4 layer board. 

    It is recommended to follow this layout to have adequate GND cooper for both thermal and EMI performance.
