LMG3422R050: Help with LMG3422R050 PSpice Simulation

Part Number: LMG3422R050
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LMG3422R030

I am trying to run a simulation of LMG3422R050. I have downloaded the simulation model from TI's website and opened the model in PSpice for TI. When I try to run the model I get a bunch of errors as shown below:

In trying to figure out why these model parameters are not defined, I have read online that the Edit Simulation profile -> Configuration Files -> Library ... must contain the libraries. I believe I have added the libraries that were included in the model correctly, but perhaps I am mistaken:

I also believe these should be the only two models I need to run the simulation, as these are the only blocks in the schematic:

Thanks for any help in advance!

Best,

Mike

  • Hi Mike,

Thank you for reaching out about this. We've seen a similar issue to this in the past and are working to debugging if the root of the issue is within the model or version update of PSpice. I have had luck with deleting PSpice and the model file and downloading both again. For now you can try this and see if it works.

    Best,
    Kyle

  • Hi Kyle,

I have tried deleting and reinstalling PSpice, as well as the model here: LMG3422R050 data sheet, product information and support | TI.com

I am still getting undefined errors when I try to run the simulation:

Should I try to download a previous version of PSpice?

    Thanks again for any help,

  • Hello Mike,
We are aware of a small bug in our PSPICE model for LMG3422R030, in many cases the simulation runs with no issues but can sometimes throw unexpected errors. We have seen some success reinstalling both PSPICE and the device model, but understand this does not work every time and is an undesirable temporary solution. We are actively working to fix this problem permanently but need time to work through the design model. We have no other reliable fix to suggest at the moment, and kindly ask that you be patient until we can share an updated device model.

    Best,

    Kyle
