Hi team,
Customer consider DFE322512F-4R7M inductor with TPS562211.
Is there any concern here?
Input voltage: 13.5~9V
Output voltage: 5V
Output current: 1A
Best regards,
Hayashi

Hi Lucia,
When customer uses DFE322512F-4R7M inductor, the low load efficiency is better than TMS322512ALM(higher DCR). (@ <0.6A area). Both are FCCM mode.
Why does the difference occur? Is it expected?
Regards,
Hayashi
Hi Hideki,
I will check difference between two inductors and give you feedback soon!

Hi Hideki,
Does customer use TMS322512ALM-4R7MTAA? Since for TMS322512ALM, it is not specific part number of inductor and I could not know exact inductor value used in customer test. And could you please help to provide test data and measurements of customer in efficiency test? I would like to know how customer test efficiency.
If both inductors have same value of inductance, higher DCR would contribute to higher conduction loss and lower efficiency.

Hi Zixu,
I confirmerd again, the TMS322512ALM inductor value is 6.8uH... Sorry for confusing.
The efficiency curve as below

Hayashi
Hi Hideki,
Since delta_IL is larger with 4.7uH, the switching loss would be higher than that of 6.8uH. Under light load condition, switching loss takes majority of loss and efficiency of 6.8uH circuit is higher than 4.7uH circuit.
