UCD9090-Q1:chip in the ROM mode

Part Number: UCD9090-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UCD9090

Hi

we try to do reliability testing and turn on/off the power in our design.
we found that the power supply shows a different power consumption after testing 24 hours. then we use TI's tool to check the power status.
the GUI shows a UCD going to the ROM mode.

we have tried to recover it.

but it seems some issues in the chip.

just wondering, is the chip crashed or damaged?

  • Hi, Fen,

From the errors, look like flash cannot be enable for writing. Try the below:

    1. Make sure PEC is enable in USB adapter.

    2. Make sure Fusion GUI is the only tool communicate with device.

    3. Try disconnect all devices other than UCD9090 (if there is any) on the bus, to ensure that they are not interfere with the communication.

    4. Power cycle UCD9090.

    5. Unplug USB adapter, wait for a few seconds, then plug it back.

    6. Download firmware
