TLV1117: Recommended values for Cadj , R1 , R2

Part Number: TLV1117

I have a question regarding the adjustable-output type of TLV1117.
Please let me know if there are recommended values for Cadj , R1, R2, such as Figure 8-1 described in the datasheet.

  • Hello Yuki,

Depending on what your VOUT is, you will need to chose your resistors. We typically recommend that R1+R2 be less than 100K.

As for your CADJ, follow the datasheet requirements of keeping COUT larger than CADJ. IT may be beneficial to do a PSRR measurement of your application and see what frequency your PSRR starts to dip at, in order to choose the correct capacitor. We recommend starting with 1uF and increasing it based on the needs of your application.

LDO Basics has a section on PSRR and the effects your load and output capacitors will have on it.

    Best,
    Juliette
