Hi Shoo,
Since this is a released product, I see no reason to not give out the version I used to interface with the TPS38700Q1EVM.
TI-Fusion-Digital-Power-Designer-7.7.8.1.zip

Hi Andrew,
Thanks for your prompt reply. Ver 7.6.6 and ver 7.8.8.1 didn't work . Error message popped up like "Error loading or running application library" besides, they mentioned GUI in the latest ver (7.9.1) cannot detect TPS38700. when they choose TPS38900 in GUI list, GUI detect it as TPS389004 and read/write resister correctly.
Is this correct behavior or is there any way to fix or solve it?
Thanks,
Shoo
Hi Shoo,
Yeah, unfortunately I don't believe there's any way to have the GUI detect TPS38900 as the 6 channel version. When testing with the device, I manually set the register values using the I2C tool in the tools menu.
The 7.7.8.1 file I sent should have the scan mode for TPS38700.
Thanks,
Andrew
Hi Andrew,
thanks for your reply. I mean the fusion designer didn't launch in Ver 7.6.6 and ver 7.8.8.1 because of the error even though they tried to install windows .NET Framework 4.5.2.
they also installed ver 7.9.3 through TPS546D24A E2E thread. and this version can detect TPS38700Q1. ver7.9.3 is officially released?
No issue occur in ver 7.9.3?
Thanks,
Shoo
Hi Shoo,
Glad they got it to work. If someone posted that version in an E2E thread, I'm sure it's ok to use. Have a great day!
Let us know if you have any other questions.
Thanks,
Andrew
