BQ25790: Current limit depending on the USB type similar to USB-PD-CHG-EVM-01

Hi BQ team,

A customer is interested in using BQ25790 with TPS25750.

TPS25750 has below resistor values depending on what source is connected.

How does BQ handle current limit when combined with TPS25750? will it write to the below resistors?

Hi Luke,

The BQ2579X D+/D- lines are not used and the TPS25750 writes to the BQ2579x input current limit registers.

What exact resisros are you referencing? Are the resistors shown in the original post being written?

Hi Luke,

Not resistors but I2C register for IINDPM (input current limit). The VBUS_STAT register will likely not be accurate.
