TPSM82816: Minimum input voltage

According to the datasheet, this device can operate with and input voltage as low as Vin= Vout + Iload*Rdp. This would mean that for a design outputing 3.3V @ 0.5A, it would works with an input voltage as low as 3.32V aprox. My concern is that the online workbench tool does not allow to set the input voltage below 4V. Is there another limitation that perhaps I didn't catches from the dataseet?

On the other hand, is there available a spice model that can be loaded into TINA?

Hi Javier,

What inputs did you give Webench for your design? Attached is the design it gave for me for a 3.4Vin to 3.3Vout at 0.5A.

What do you want to simulate in Tina? We don't yet have a model for this module, but you can use the model for the discrete TPS62816-Q1.

Hi Chris,

For some reason, the webench was returning an error message regarding the input parameters introduced for any combination of minimum input voltage between 3.5V and 3.9V, with a load of 0.5A. The minimum it was accepting was 4V. Now I have tried again and its ok.
