TPS61170: About Device Operation After Applying Static Electricity

Hi,

The customer tested the application with a static electricity test. When static electricity was applied to the LCD attached to the application instead of the TPS61170, the waveform was similar to Fig. 1 in the attached document.
Could you comment on the following questions?

1. After supplying static electricity, Vin decreased and Vout=Vin (Fig. 2). I think this behavior is due to UVLO, is that correct?

2. In Figure 3, when Vout=Vin, CTRL=Low was entered, and then Vout became the desired voltage (24 V). Could you tell me why Vout=24 V even though CTRL= Low?

Hi Nishie,

Would you please provide further details to help judge the phenomenon:

1.Please provide the schematic that contains the LCD and TPS61170. I'd like to check the impact to TPS61170 when static electricity was applied to the LCD. Please also point out the test point.

2.Keep CTRL low, reset and set VIN, will VOUT follow VIN to shut down and restart?

3.Can you replicate the phenomenon? Whether it occurs every time after applying static electricity?

4.Can you provide the SW and inductor current waveforms?
