LP5036: similar solution with SPI interface

Hi Team,

Customer is looking into LP5036.

For this solution they have 2 questions:

Does TI have SPI instead of I2C LED drivers with multiple channels?
Does the LP5036 support single non-RGB SMD LEDs? (they will use membrane panels)

For your question, please refer the comments below:

1. Does TI have SPI instead of I2C LED drivers with multiple channels?

Yes, we have LP586x family to support SPI interface and LP5862 can support 36 LED dots the same as LP5036.

2. Does the LP5036 support single non-RGB SMD LEDs? (they will use membrane panels)

Yes, I think there is no problem with it.

Hi Jared,

The reason for SPI instead of I2C comes from customers SW engineers and the uC families they use. They prefer SPI instead of I2C.
