    Have you checked the voltage of REG25, REGIN and the voltage on SCLK and SDATA.

REG25 = 5.5 mv

REGIN = 2.6V

SCLK = 2.6V

SDATA = 2.6V

Hi Steven,

I used 7.5V supply and not the REGIN voltage in 2.86V.

I am still not able to communicate to the EVM with Battery management studio.

    Can you further check the voltage at G and S pin of Q1, there supposed to be a voltage at around 5.6v at G of Q1, please also check the REG25 voltage see if it is 2.5v or so

For Q1, G is 5.10 V and S is 2.86V. The REg25 is at 3 mV.

Now I have used 3.95V Battery instead of the power supply. Also, instead of internal load register I am using external 5K resistor.

I am seeing below voltages,

REGIN  :- 3.95V

REG25 :- 7 mv

Q1

G :- 3.48V

S :- 3.95V

D :- 3.46V

With all above settings, I am still not able to detect EVM in battery management studio, communication is failing.

   It looks weird, per EVM schematic, the voltage on D of Q1 shall be the battery voltage, please check the voltage on BAT+ of J7, Pin 6 and Pin 5 of J2, voltages of all these nodes shall be BAT+ voltage, which is 6v as you mentioned above.

I am now not using 6V power supply as it had only 1.5A drive capability.

I am using a battery which is 3.95 V.

Voltage on J7 and J2 jumpers is also 3.95V.

REGIN  :- 3.95V

REG25 :- 7 mv

Q1

G :- 3.48V

S :- 3.95V

D :- 3.46V

Yes. I changed it to <=5V when started using Battery. Above all voltages are with <=5V jumper setting.

    If so, the device might probable damaged, please apply for new device samples to replace the present one on the EVM see if the communication would recover.
