Why does the VIN of LMR33630AP-Q1 have two pins? Can they be short-circuited together?

I saw in the datasheet that there is a case where only one pin is connected, so what is the difference between using one pin and two pins for VIN? Is it the input current?

Hi Guohai,

The consideration of two Vin pin is to provide better EMI performance because two input current loop will cancel magnetic of each other induced.

It is recommended to refer below pcb layout:

Hi Guohai,

No. we suggested using two pins of Vin, because it can reduce current stress for each pin.

Hi Guohai,

There is no such a data for using one pin. For two pin, the output current will be 3A.

By the way, using one pin is not a correct way to layout and it should be avoided, thanks.
