LM74502H-Q1: 100V Transient Capability

Part Number: LM74502H-Q1

Hi,
My typical working voltage maximum is 60V but I need 100V 1us. I want to do this by separating the GND as in the picture and adding an extra TVS. Is this a correct use? (Power line is carrying over 100A, impossible to hold under 65V)
Also, I need input RPP.

  • Hi Failth,

The resistor from IC GND to system GND along with a zenr/TVS across input to IC GND should work. There can be shift in device GND potential when the charge pump is ON so it is recommended to reduce the resistance value to around 1kΩ-5kΩ.   We would also recommend to test this circuit for all your conditions before implementing it in your system.
