UCD90160A: [Consultation] UCD90160RGCR Brownout function to record fault log into NVMe which is also called black box

Part Number: UCD90160A

Hi TI service team,

I have some questions about UCD90160RGCR Brownout function and also attach my calculation of capacitors application on my board.

*C (brownout) = (80mA*5ms) / (2.9V-2.6V) = ~1334uF, 1334uF*1.2 = 1600uF (20% margin)

1.Does the brownout function be activated when Vcc (UCD90160A power) drop below 2.9V ?

2.Is it enough for the capacitors values on my board design to support brownout function ?

(1)2200uF POLCAP*1 + 47uF*22 = 3234uF

(2)2200uF POLCAP*1

3.Does these parameters (write fault log time=5ms / programming current=80mA) have deviated range ?

I want to make sure that the calculation value can cover all cases in my design.

Thanks.

Best Regards,

Paul Lei
