TLV757P: ESR of output capacitor on TLV757P

Hi,

TLV1117LV output capacitor requires no ESR as following on the datasheet P.13.

TLV1117LV is specified to be stable with no ESR.

How about TLV757P??  Does TLV755P also require no ESR of output capacitor?

    Hello M.HATTORI, 

    Typically, unless we specify a  minimum ESR for stability, the device can function with low ESR capacitors (ceramic). The TLV1117LV came out before TLV755P, so that was probably a feature, at the time, whereas it is more common now. 

    I looked through our validation data and could not find a mention for minimum ESR.
