UCC23313-Q1: Please review the schematic.

Part Number: UCC23313-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UCC14140-Q1,

Dear TI experts,

My customer drew their schematic with UCC23313-Q1 and UCC14140-Q1 to control IGBT.

I am reviewing UCC14140-Q1 with another expert, so I want you to review UCC23313-Q1. Could you review the schematic below?

  • Hi Chase,

I don't see any issues. It looks like a very straightforward schematic.

Are you sure that you need the mosfet buffer on the input? A microcontroller can usually source 10mA itself, if you want to try and save cost.

I only see one IGBT. It's not clear how it is being used, but 15V looks sufficient. I usually avoid using 18V since it is closer to the abs max voltage, and does not provide additional Rdson benefit.

    Best regards,

    Sean
