Hi TI expert,

I think GaN die and control die are integrated in same package, which means power stage and control unit are splited, so how can control die get the GaN die temp? This is importan to me beacause I'd like to ensure the GaN die temp sensing output is accurate.

    Hello,

    We measure the temperature at both the driver and the FET. The temperature being reported on on TEMP pin is the temperature of the FET. Both temperatures are used for overtemperature protection, as listed in the data sheet overtemperature shutdown occurs if the GaN FET temperature rises above 175C or if the driver temperature rises above 185C.
