I have a similar issue with the LMZ14202HTZ part on two of our boards. What we are experiencing is that the part gets damaged when it goes through the baking process. We have not changed the design for a long time and just this year the failure rate has been about 40%. When we manually replace the damaged part the new part works from the same reel. The failure that we see is that Vin gets shorted to GND and/or Vout resistance to GND drops significantly. We believe we have the right temperature profile with a maximum temperature of 250C. We are using RoHS components so the temperature is 245C +-5C. For the moment we decided to place the part by hand to prevent the failures. Anybody else has experienced something similar? If you can please share what was done fix the failure that would be much apreciated.
