LP2985: LP2985 max ground current

Part Number: LP2985

Hello,

I'm looking for a graph max. ground current/output current at 25°C for LP2985-50DBVR. Same question for LP2981-50DBVR

  • Hi Lionel,

The ground current and the output current are two different specifications. The maximum output current this device can handle is 150 mA and the ground current associated with each pin varies greatly depending on the output current. You can see this data in the data sheet.

Please let me know if you have any further questions.

    I hope this helps,

    Josh Nachassi

  • Hello,

The graph 7 in the datasheet gives nominal ground current versus output current. I'm looking for maximal ground current versus output current.

  • Hi Lionel,

As you can see from that graph it stops at 150 mA which is the maximum Iout the device can handle. If you are looking for the maximum GND current I would look at the end of the graph where it has reached 150 mA. You can also look at the data in this table to get a good description of where the GND current will be depending on different loads.

1060 uA is the maximum GND current seen in the new chips according to this table.

    Hope this helps,
