TPS7H5003-SP: About the difference of the Active Clamp Flyback between UCC289* and TPS7H000*

Part Number: TPS7H5003-SP
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UCC2894, UCC2893, UCC28780

We'd like to adopt the flyback converter with PWM active clamp.

So far , we are used UCC2893 or UCC2894 .

At happens , we found the TPS7H000*.

We can design active clamp flyback with this device , right ?

I want to know the difference between UCC2893 and TPS7H5003.

On the other hand , UCC28780 is superior to UCC2893 and TPS7H5003 as flyback.

Don't you think so ?

  • Hey Tak,

The TPS7H500X-SP devices are meant to be used in radiation environments for satellite applications.
You are comparing it to commercial grade devices that are much less expensive.

Can you confirm that your application is meant for a radiation hardened environment?

    Thanks,
    Daniel
