TPS43061: Could TPS43061 achieve the same Vout as Vin?

Hi TI Teams,

One of our customer want to know did TPS43061 can achieve the same Vout as Vin. The input voltage is range from 19.5V to 20V, and the output is 20V/2A. Is this requirement achievable? If yes, what needs to be taken care of in the circuit design?

    Hello Lumina Gui,

    In general the device should be able to achieve this, but I expect that it will not switch permanently. So you cannot expect a continuous conduction mode in this case.

    In addition, if the input gets in any case higher than the output voltage plus the diode drop on the high-side FET, the output will just follow the input minus the diode drop.

    If this is ok for the customer, I think it will work. I would recommend testing it with the EVM.
