BQ30Z554-R1: My questionable MPN is Q30Z554DBTR-R1 - Functional Failure

MPN: Q30Z554DBTR-R1

8pcs with functional testing failure observed, detail as below.  

  • Fail on BQ30Z554-R1 Programming
  • The IC is not able to enter the ROM mode for programming

Further Testing Performed:

1. TI parts have been tested through by A-B-A swap cross check. Confirmed the observed issue is not system related.

2. Check the pin resistance especially pin 13 and 15 -> no abnormality found on pin 13 and pin 15 between bad and good unit (measured 1.4Mohm). 

3. We can not proceed by manual programming, same error pop up.

    Hello,

    The gauge will not allow entry into ROM mode unless you are in an unsealed and full-access mode. Please ensure you are not sealed during your testing. Besides this there should be nothing blocking entry into ROM mode.
