Hi,

Can the resistors and capacitors inside the red box be changed to 4 ohms and 1.1uF, or can they be removed?

    Hi Jeff, 

    Thank you for reaching out!

    The components inside the red box make an input hot-plug snubber circuit that is used to dampen ringing due to input inrush current. This circuit is recommended in your design with typical resistance and capacitance of 2Ω and 2.2 uF respectively. See EVM schematic for example of using ~4Ω resistors (in parallel).
