If the customer want to use BQ7718 in the 3s/4s situation,

whether they could short VSS&V1&V2 ....VSS & V1?

Hi Fabio,

Recommended configuration is connecting cells from the bottom up and shorting higher cell inputs. Why would the customer need to short the lower cell inputs?

The customer said there are using pin-to-pin competitors which connect cells from up down. And shorting lower cell with GND.

They want the compatibility design. So whether we could confirm this? So that we could be selected as second source.

Hi Fabio,

Unfortunately, our device cannot be connected in this manner. The customer will have to connect from bottom-up and short the top cell connects.
