TPS6594-Q1: Power down sequence in SK-AM69

Hello,

My customer has a question for TPS6549-Q1 design in SK-AM69.
When the input voltage of the board is shut down, all VCCA, VIO_IN and PVIN_x are also simultaneously shut down.
In this case, can TPS6549 keep required power down sequence of AM69?

Regards,
Oba

  • Hello Oba,

This will depend on how fast or slow those voltages drop. If fault causes the PMIC to start an orderly shutdown while VCCA is still above UVLO, then PMIC will execute it's normal power down sequence. Once VCCA drops below UVLO, PMIC switches to an immediate shutdown which disables all the rails at once.
