Hi,
In the various projects we've done in the past with the BQ24650, we've always used the input filter as suggested in the BQ24650 data sheet (example of R5 and C1 in the datasheet).
In this new project we have connected the solar panel to an eFuse for more effective protection, according to specific project specifications.
However, in exceptional situations, the solar panel can be removed, and an power adapter connected to quickly charge the battery.
To configure the eFuse we need to set the maximum peak voltage and the maximum dv/dt.
As far as dv/dt is concerned, we can't find from the BQ24650 datasheet what value or order of values we should set in the eFuse in order to protect the BQ24650.
How can we estimate an order of values for the maximum acceptable dv/dt in order to configure eFuse and guarantee BQ24650 input protection ?
Thank you in advance for your comments.
regards
Jose
