TPS54062: 50ma 2S NiMh charger

hello 

I am trying to do a 50mA 2S nimh batterie charger using the TPS54062

i have input voltage of 12VDC, output voltage set to 3

while using the TPS54062EVM, the current limits was triggered at 90mA ( Iout), i prefet to limit the charging current to 150mW

can you help to understand if it is acheivable to have a current limit at 50mA ?

    Hi Ziad,

    Thank you for your question. This part does not allow for changing the internal current threshold of the part.

    That being said, one thing you can experiment with is using a lower inductor value to create more ripple in hopes of tripping the peak current limit earlier. However, keep in mind that adjusting the inductor may also require you to adjust the rest of the circuit for proper operation and stability.

    Please try a lower inductor value and see if this helps you get closer to your target,
