Hi,

I am using TPS613221A as per your data sheet: My Vin will be from 2V to 3.2V and Iout will be 150mA max.

I follow up the output with a power switch (like AP2411), because I think it has a number of benefits.

Do you think i need to follow TPS613221A with the power switch or is it redundant?

Hi Vladmir,

What are the benefits of the load switch? What kind of load condition? Is this because TPS61322 doesn't have the EN pin that you want to add the load switch. In my opinion if the load is not as heave as block the start up, there is no need to add the load switch after the Boost converter.

I use MOSFET to disable the TPS, but the switch offers:

Output Discharge function
Reverse current blocking
Built-in soft start
Overcurrent and Thermal protection

so, would that be a good reason to keep the switch?

Hi Vladmir,

If those are the feature you want to keep, that's definitely reasonable, because the boost converter doesn't include output discharge and reverse current blocking. The solution is reasonable.
