Hi Team,

I'm looking for designing an isolated bi-polar power supply with fly-back topology for my Mosfet Gate driver circuit. I'm little confused on selecting right controller IC for my design.

Kindly help me in selecting the suitable controller for my design.

NOTE: here is my Gate driver specs

Gate driver IC supply = +/- 15V isolated power input.
Instantaneous current burst of Gate driver IC = +/- 6A
Gate driver switching frequency = 5KHz

You can find a good variety of Flyback controllers HERE and you can filter depending on your specifications.

For a personal recommendation, I will forward this thread to a Flybacks expert.

Hi Hernandez,

Thanks for your input, I will go through it.

In mean time I had selected few controller (LM5180, LM25183) for my requirement and tried recommended calculator tool and performed few simulation as well. The output looks proper and also tallies against the calculation.

But, I need your help in double confirming the circuit. Whether the following controller can be used for Bi-polar supply generator for Mosfet Gate driver.
