TPS1641: output current limit MIN/MAX @ 250mA

Hi TI support,

I found the TPS1641 and I realy like it.

For my design I need a more precise answer than the 3 lines in table 7.5 with Rlim=332kOhm, 10kOhm and 5,49 kOhm. I see the accuracy is not the same with different resistors, but is it perhaps like the figure 24 in TPS2660 datasheet?

I will use Rlim = 40 kOhm to get Ilim = 250mA. But what are the MIN and MAX values?

Hi Markus,

We don't have any curve similar to figure 24 (from TPS2660) in datasheet of TPS1641 and using the curve from TPS2660 datasheet won't give you correct value of range, but the trend will remain similar. For 1A we have 6% variation and for 250mA, the variation will be higher.

By simple interpolation between the cases provided in datasheet, we get around 18%-20% variation for 250mA ILIM which is worst case scenario.
