LMZ14201EVAL: LMZ14201 EVL board not measuring 15V output during no load, load and line regulation

Hi,

We are currently designing converter circuit using LMZ14201 IC with Vin=24V, Vout=15V with Max load <1A (IC supports up to 1A max) with startup time being 0.5ms considering Css=4.7nF

To start with we tried with the simulation package that is provided in the TI website https://www.ti.com/product/LMZ14201H#design-development.

However, with RFBT = 34K, RBBB = 1.91K to generate Vout = 15V considering Cout = 2x 10uF, we are reading Vout = 14.73V to 14.89V during line regulation (18V to 24V) and startup time being 2.2ms

Also, tried the same with the EVL board but Vout measurement is 16V during low load (0.1A to 0.3A) and Vout = ~15.3V at max load (0.7A - 1A) 

Q1: Does this IC capable to convert output voltage close to Vin (24V to 15V in the above case).

    Hi Vinod, 

    Thank you for sharing your scope shots and schematic. According to the datasheet, the LMZ14201 is set to work with input voltages ranging from 6 to 42 V and output voltages ranging from 0.6 to 6 V. TI does not guarantee nor recommend operation with VOUT of 15 V. I have included the datasheet link and a snapshot for your convenience.
